PTFA Events

Please see below the list of events the Parent, Teachers, and Friends Association (PTFA) will be hoping to run during the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms this academic year at Kilmington Primary School. We will aim to update this list at the start of each term.

The PTFA would welcome any ideas for future events or ways we can make existing events better. We are only a small committee, so any support you can provide either by attending events, supporting the preparations or at the event itself would be very welcome.

We hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the start of each academic year (usually at the end of September/October). This is an opportunity to reflect on the previous year, form the new committee and start to plan for the year ahead. Everyone is welcome to come along, and we would really love to see more parents, friends, and teachers there.

All the money raised by the PTFA is for the children and to provide them with more opportunities during their time at Kilmington Primary School.

PTFA EVENTS
Spring Term
Gift Amnesty - Wondering what to do with any new and unused/unsuitable gifts lying around?	Throughout January and February. Drop off at the New Inn, Kilmington (please check winter opening hours) or drop us a message on Facebook and we could collect.	We all get them, so why not donate it to the PTFA for a future raffle prize. If you find something after amnesty, just let us know and bring it in. All contributions will help for future raffle or tombola prizes. Please no perishable items, no large items.
PTFA Committee meeting #2	Tuesday 3 Feb	While committee meetings are only for committee members, we would really love your ideas. Any suggestions or concerns please speak to one of the committee members.
Whole School Bake	Friday 6 Feb	The whole school brings cakes. Please drop off at the pod. Please label all homemade cakes with what it is, ingredients, and ensure the container is labelled so it can be returned.
Village PTFA coffee and cake morning – The Beacon, Baptist Church.	Saturday 7 February 10:00 – 12:00	We’ll need people to help set up, during and at the end. If you have any time to spare, please let us know. Or just come along and eat cake! It would be lovely to see the whole community coming together.
2^nd hand uniform sale - £1 per item.	Watch this space. Secondhand uniform will be out either on the school open afternoon on 13 Feb or in early March.	If you ever need any uniform or have anything to donate, please let one of the committee members know.
Non-Uniform Day - £1	Friday 20 March	To help raise money for the PTFA Easter raffle prizes. The school is kindly allowing a non-uniform day in exchange for £1 donation.
Easter raffle	Tuesday 31 March The draw to take place after school.
