PTFA Events

Please see below the list of events the Parent, Teachers, and Friends Association (PTFA) will be hoping to run during the Autumn, Spring and Summer terms this academic year at Kilmington Primary School. We will aim to update this list at the start of each term.

The PTFA would welcome any ideas for future events or ways we can make existing events better. We are only a small committee, so any support you can provide either by attending events, supporting the preparations or at the event itself would be very welcome.

We hold our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the start of each academic year (usually at the end of September/October). This is an opportunity to reflect on the previous year, form the new committee and start to plan for the year ahead. Everyone is welcome to come along, and we would really love to see more parents, friends, and teachers there.

All the money raised by the PTFA is for the children and to provide them with more opportunities during their time at Kilmington school.

PTFA Committee meeting #3	Tuesday 28 April
Bags4school – collection 9:00 outside Baptist Church.	Thursday 7 May	Please drop all bags off before 09:00 and pile them to one side of the Baptist Church porch. What We Collect \| Bag2School
Cake sale #5 – 50p per cake.	Friday 8 May	Jackdaws and Kingfishers classes to bake/provide cakes. Cake sale after school.
Break the Rules Day – 50p per rule broken, max 4 rules.	Friday 22 May	Please see the poster for the rules the children can break.
Cake sale #6 – 50p per cake.	Friday 19 June	Ospreys and Pipits classes to bake/provide cakes
PTFA Committee Meeting #4	Tuesday 23 June
PTFA Whole School Fun Day Storytelling, puppets and activities.	Friday 26 June	Non-school uniform. If you have a puppet at home, bring it in. We’ll have a chance to make our own and have performances by Flying with Strings Marionette Theatre company.
True to Your Art, Painting Event Join us to paint and enjoy the company and refreshments provided.	Tuesday 30 June, booking required. Kilmington Village Hall, 18:00-21:00.	Now fully booked.
2nd Hand Uniform Sale - £1 per item. Get ready for September!	Tuesday 7 July	Uniform sales will be held outside the pod in the playground. Weather permitting.
Sports Day PTFA will be running the £1 bucket game for your chance to win half.	Tuesday 14 July (Reserve Thursday 16)	Bring your £1 coins! Refreshments – hopefully, we’ll have tea and coffee available. Look out for the new bibs and cheer on the teams.
PTFA supports the Kilmington Village Fair This year we will be providing kids games.	Saturday 5 September, Kilmington Village Hall & field.	Support the school and the village by setting up or taking down the fair, helping out at a stall, or simply by bringing the family along and having a good time.
