In the past, we have had "Dress up as a book character" on this day and while some loved this idea, I did hear that this can also be quite a stressful / expensive thing to expect. To accommodate more people's wishes, children can dress up on this day, either as a book character or as something else. If your child does not like dressing up, they can wear non-uniform. Hopefully, this will alleviate any stresses without denying the enjoyment for those who do like it. 

The Kilmington telephone library organiser has also offered to facilitate a free book fair at playtime so we will all have the opportunity to get a new book like last year.
